Here at The Sportsman Pub, we can cater for all types of functions & celebrations. We have a large restaurant area that can be used for parties, whether that be a birthday, christening or wedding.
Our menu for our functions ranges from a classic finger buffet or perhaps something for a 3 course sit down meal. Have a look at our buffet menu here.
If your event is during the summer months, we have ample space in our garden which we can hire out. Live music or DJs are able to play inside or out in the garden.
Our Story
The Sportsman Pub was first registered as a ‘beer house’ in 1800 – the original building is over 200 years old. As a beer house, it was the main place for the hunt to gather with their horses & hounds, hence the name The Sportsman.
Matt Palmer took over the pub in 2009, and reinvented the pub to create a place where all were welcome, offering great food & a friendly atmosphere.
Over the years, the pub has established & grown each year, but still holds its values – to provide great food, drinks & customer satisfaction.
