I just wanted to say a huge thank you to you and all your team for our party at The Sportsman on Saturday evening. We had a fantastic evening and really enjoyed ourselves.

Our friends have also been commenting on what a great party it was and particularly what a great venue and how fantastic the food was.

Plenty of our friends were saying they hadn’t been to The Sportsman for a long time and were really impressed, and would definitely be coming back for a meal sometime.

We both thought the buffet was excellent and the whole evening was a huge success, so thank you for all your hard work.

I am just writing to say that we had a lovely lunch yesterday at the Sportsman. We had our grandson, Finn, with us and were
delighted to find a place laid for him at the table. The staff were lovely towards him. We enjoyed our meal very much and were impressed with the menu.

What a find.  Happy smiling faces welcomed us, what a nice change.  Attentive, friendly service from staff who want to please - everything made easy for us.

Excellent food at affordable prices, varied and interesting menu with generous portions.  Apparently a new chef joined before Christmas so lots of new ideas and mine tasted really good. 

The pub looked as though it has been refurbished, everything very comfortable with real solid beech floors in one bar and squishy carpet in the other, complemented with log fires.  Nicely appointed.

Good atmosphere with families (including children), business people on lunch breaks and locals all enjoying themselves - lots of laughter!

Best beer I've had in a while, they obviously know how to keep the cellar, and my wife loved the food.  Disappointed not to have been able to make their St Patrick's celebrations which looked interesting.
